1. Pre-treatment before pvd coating
The purpose of pre-treatment before pvd coating is to obtain a clean, fresh metal surface to prepare for high-quality coating, requiring degreasing, derusting, and dust removal.
Steps are as follows:
1: Achieve the required surface roughness through surface grinding, polishing, etc.;
2: Degreasing, which can be achieved through solvent dissolution, chemical and electrochemical methods;
3: Rust removal, which can be done using mechanical, pickling, and electrochemical methods;
4: Activation treatment, usually carried out during the weak acid erosion time before plating.
2. Post-plating treatment
1. Passivation treatment
Passivation refers to a surface treatment method in which chemical treatment is carried out in a solution to form a strong, dense, and stable film on the coating. Pvd coating passivation can improve the corrosion resistance of the coating, increase the surface gloss and anti-pollution ability. This method is widely used. Passivation can be carried out after zinc plating, copper plating, and silver plating.
2. Dehydrogenation treatment
Some metals, such as zinc, in addition to their own deposition during electrodeposition, will also deposit a part of hydrogen, which will penetrate into the coating, making the plated parts brittle or even fractured, which is the so-called hydrogen embrittlement. In order to eliminate hydrogen embrittlement, pvd coating machine After electroplating, the plated parts are heat-treated at a certain temperature for several hours. This treatment is called dehydrogenation treatment.
