1. Nanometer-level thickness and uniform film thickness: The thickness of vacuum coating is only tens to hundreds of nanometers, and the thickness of each part of the film is uniform. Applying UV to the plastic surface for sealing and leveling achieves an ideal mirror effect. Because the coating is too thin, the requirements for the appearance of the bottom UV material are almost harsh, and the requirements for coating cleanliness are high. At the same time, the larger the product appearance area, the higher the defect rate may be. Currently, the coating thickness of PVD coating equipment is controlled by transmittance and reflectance. The thicker the coating, the worse the transmittance and the higher the reflectance.
2. The placement of PVD coating equipment coating products is directional: In vertical and horizontal electroplating furnaces, products must be placed on the parallel plane of the electroplating furnace tools. Because the metal material moves linearly or arcuately with the steam flow, the coating material is usually placed parallel to the tool. Under the condition that the space in the coating chamber is certain, the larger the plane area of the product and the deeper the curve, the lower the production capacity and the higher the corresponding production cost.
3. The surface formed after UV primer coating and coating is relatively fragile and sensitive and needs special protection: Because the coating is only nanometer in size in time, it does not have the ability to shield the poor ultraviolet surface of the primer. In addition, because the coating is too thin, the metallic property of the coating is weak, and it is easy to be scratched. After the product is coated with UV at the bottom, it cannot be manually inspected after coating. During the operation of PVD coating equipment, the surface of the product can be prevented from being polluted and damaged by using special handles, gloves, masks, and vehicle dust covers for fixtures.
4. The injection rate of coating materials or steam is very high: The injection rate of magnetron sputtering and evaporation is generally around 2000 m/s, and the coating time for each furnace is generally around 15-20 minutes. Magnetron sputtering varies depending on the process. The capacity of each furnace is about 450-800 pcs/furnace, and the capacity of each furnace varies with different product sizes.
