  Analysis and countermeasures for problems that easily occur during vacuum coating process:

 

  1. Peeling of vacuum coating topcoat:

 

  Analysis: Incomplete solvent evaporation in topcoat, coating contamination, incomplete topcoat curing, incompatibility between topcoat and primer;

       

  Improvement measures: Reduce line speed, increase leveling temperature and time of topcoat, reduce coating thickness of UV topcoat;

 

  Do not leave the product for too long after coating, ensure the appearance of semi-finished products without topcoat is clean;

 

  Measure whether the UV lamp energy meets the requirements and whether it is working normally;

 

  Replace the topcoat that combines with the vacuum electroplating primer.

 

  2. Surface particles of vacuum coating topcoat:

 

  Analysis: Air or paint contamination, impurity mixing; prolonged standing time after vacuum coating, metal coating contamination, acidification;

 

  Improvement measures: Improve the dust-free level of the environment, replace all filters in the air supply equipment, improve the cleanliness of compressed air, identify the positive and negative pressure of the spray booth and curing section, ensure that the air pressure of clean air is greater than that of normal air; increase the number of filtration times and mesh of the filter screen before coating to ensure the cleanliness of the coating; quickly go online after coating, spray topcoat, prevent coating contamination and acidification.

 

  3. Shrinkage phenomenon, "pits" appear on the topcoat:

 

  Analysis: Prolonged placement time after electroplating, coating contamination or oxidation, compressed air contamination, paint contamination, vacuum coating chamber contamination, coating contamination, spray gun or compressed air pipe contamination.

 

  Improvement measures: Clean and maintain the vacuum coating electroplating machine coating chamber, check the coating contamination source, spray topcoat immediately after vacuum coating; check the air compressor oil-water separator is working normally; participate in the speculation of anti-shrinkage additives in topcoat; clean the spray gun and compressed air pipe.

 

  4. Spots, color rings, accumulated color and uneven color of topcoat:

 

  Analysis: Poor compatibility of colorants, color pastes and other dyes; too many diluent components in the paint coating; low or high compressed air pressure; excessive spraying, too thick spraying;

 

  Improved countermeasures: Change the model and Brand of colorants or color pastes; reduce the proportion of diluents and increase vacuum coating process The solid content of the coating; adjust the air pressure of the spray gun and the distance between the spray gun and the product to ensure good atomization effect; as far as possible, spray the topcoat thinly under the condition that the leveling can be concealed and the reliability of vacuum coating can be met.
