When using a PVD coating machine, after completing more than 200 coating processes, the equipment must be cleaned with a saturated sodium hydroxide (NaOH) solution. The inner walls of the vacuum chamber should be repeatedly scrubbed with a saturated sodium hydroxide (NaOH) solution. (Note: Human skin should not come into direct contact with caustic soda solution to avoid burns.) The purpose is to allow the coated aluminum (Al) to react with NaOH. After the reaction, the film will peel off and release hydrogen gas.

When using a pvd coating machine, after completing more than 200 coating processes, the equipment should be cleaned with a saturated sodium hydroxide (NaOH) solution. Repeatedly scrub the inner walls of the vacuum chamber with a saturated sodium hydroxide (NaOH) solution. (Note: Human skin should not directly contact the caustic soda solution to avoid burns.) The purpose is to allow the coated aluminum (AL) to react with NaOH. After the reaction, the film will fall off and release hydrogen. Then, clean the vacuum chamber with clean water and clean the dirt in the fine extraction valve with a gasoline-soaked cloth. After every 200 coating processes, the work area should be cleaned. When the low-vacuum pump (slide valve pump, rotary vane pump) works continuously for one month (half in the rainy season), the oil also needs to be changed. Unscrew the oil bolt, drain the old oil, then start the pump for a few seconds to completely drain the old oil inside the pump. Screw back the oil bolt and add new oil to the rated amount (observe with an oil mirror).

After continuous use for more than 6 months, the pumping speed of the diffusion pump will slow down significantly. After continuous use for more than 6 months, the pumping speed slows down significantly, or improper operation occurs. Fill with air, remove the connecting water pipe, remove the electric furnace plate, unscrew the nozzle, first clean the pump cavity and pump liner with gasoline, then clean with laundry detergent mixed with water, and then clean with clean water. After the water evaporates, install the pump body, add new diffusion pump oil, put it back in the body, connect the water pipe, and install the electric furnace plate. Before restarting the pvd coating machine, pay attention to leak detection. Then start the maintenance pump, close the door, and observe after a few minutes whether the local vacuum degree of the diffusion pump reaches 6X10 Pa. Otherwise, leak detection is needed. Check whether the sealing rubber ring is installed at the joint or whether the sealing ring is crushed. Do not heat until the air leak hazard is eliminated, otherwise the diffusion pump oil will burn the ring and will not be able to enter the working state.
